After being struck by injury quite heavily in recent weeks, Barcelona fans will have been pleased to hear in recent days of Ansu Fati’s return to training.

But fans of the Catalan giants will also have another bit of good news to enjoy this evening as reports indicate another key player is coming close to a return.

These reports come from Mundo Deportivo, who have been reporting that Gavi is set to make a gradual return to training, starting on Thursday.

Both parties understand that Gavi’s return to action needs to not be rushed, or there could be a chance of reaggravating the injury, but it is understood that the 20-year-old is incredibly keen to get back to work alongside his teammates.

The returns of both these players are welcome news for Barca, who have gotten off to a flying start in the opening weeks of the season, and will be looking to keep their excellent form going.

Ansu Fati’s return could even come as quickly as this weekend as if things go well over the next couple of days it is expected that he will travel with the team to face Girona on Sunday.
