FC Barcelona are making various moves to strengthen their team in this summer transfer window. They have already officially completed the signing of the Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia, and now are seemingly quite close to tying down the Athletic Club winger Nico Williams as well.

Meanwhile, they are also keeping an eye on the long-term future of the team, and are being linked with some young talents, whom they can polish further to bring to the first team or to sell after some years for a profit.

Barcelona seriously interested in Roony Bardghji

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona are also seriously interested in the 19-year-old Swedish winger, Roony Bardghji. The player’s agent was seen in the Blaugrana club’s offices last Thursday, as he had lunch with several club officials, including Deco, Bojan Krkic, and Alejandro Echevarria.

The Swede is going to become a free agent in December, making him an irresistible market opportunity for the Catalans. However, for now, they will have to make a decision on whether they want to get the player in December, when he will be free to join them, or now, by making an investment of €2-3 million, to ensure other clubs do not get ahead of them in this operation.

Around a year and a half ago, the winger had caught the attention of the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, and Bayer Leverkusen. Porto have already made an offer to him two weeks ago.

Concerns about physical condition

However, Olympique de Marseille have ruled out his signing, as they are not entirely convinced about his physical condition. Their doubts arise as the player had to remain on the sidelines for around 10 months due to an ACL injury, and returned only last March to training.

After that, he played six matches to help FC Copenhagen clinch the league title, and the medical reports obtained by Barcelona show that he has fully recovered.

If he ultimately arrives at the Blaugrana club, Roony Bardghji would play firstly in the reserve team, but will train regularly under Hansi Flick, and will also get frequent chances to showcase his talent with the first team.
