With less than three weeks left before the transfer market slams to a shut, Barcelona are scrambling to register their key players as they continue to rejig the wage bill.

It must be noted that Barça are yet to register new signing Dani Olmo, as they do not have the economic capacity to do so.

Barcelona register three players

But in a recent development, the club have managed to register three players, all of whom were on loan last season, reports Diario SPORT.

The three players in question are Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati and Clement Lenglet. All three have been registered to Barcelona’s squad for the upcoming La Liga campaign.

This leaves only a handful of players who are yet to be registered so far. Apart from new signing Olmo, Barça are yet to register Inigo Martinez, Vitor Roque and Hector Fort.

Pablo Torre and Alex Valle are also not registered despite making a strong impression in pre-season.

Why these three?

Barcelona’s move to register Garcia, Fati and Lenglet may come as a surprise to many as none of the three players are considered integral to Barcelona’s first-team.

The Catalans, though, are likely taking no risks and want to register them earlier, knowing they may have to pay a fortune if they are forced to terminate their contracts.

Despite the registrations, Barcelona are still likely to find suitors for at least Lenglet and Fati, who has recently been asked to find a new club.

Once Barça find suitors for both Lenglet and Fati, it shouldn’t be difficult to de-register these players.
