Barcelona & Real Madrid stars nominated for La Liga Player of the Month | OneFootball

Star performers from Spanish football’s two biggest clubs have seen their recent endeavours rewarded, by way of nomination for the La Liga Player of the Month award for February.

The players in question? Robert Lewandowski, and Federico Valverde.

Beginning with the former, hitman Lewandowski has enjoyed something of a return to form across the month to date.

All told, across three appearances, the Pole has managed to find the net on four occasions, including a match-winning brace last time out to lead Barcelona past Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid standout Valverde, meanwhile, has continued to showcase his customary excellence across four league appearances in February.

The all-action midfielder saw out all 90 minutes of his side’s meetings with all of Getafe, Atlético Madrid, Girona, and Rayo Vallecano, en route to solidifying their spot atop the La Liga standings.

He also chipped in with a pair of assists along the way.

And joining the headline pair on the list of nominees for the February Player of the Month gong are the trio of Marcos Llorente, Yuri Berchiche, and Ante Budimir.
