The latest round of La Liga fixtures will be followed by a two-week hiatus from domestic football, allowing national team coaches across the globe a fresh opportunity to put the available talent at their disposal through their paces.

With Euro 2024 just around the corner, the upcoming round of friendly fixtures will mark the final opportunity for Europe’s top bosses to get an up-close and personal look at some of their star performers, and fringe options alike.

In turn, on Thursday, it has come as little surprise to see a mix of young and old, prominent and less so, and even a few new names in the squad lists of European football’s standout nations.

When it comes to La Liga’s leading clubs, all of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid boast representatives in Didier Deschamps’ France squad.

This comes with all of Jules Koundé, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antoine Griezmann having been called up by Les Bleus:

Julian Nagelsmann’s German squad list, meanwhile, is highlighted by the return of Real Madrid conductor Toni Kroos, alongside Blancos teammate Antonio Rüdiger, and Barcelona pair Marc-André ter Stegen, and İlkay Gündoğan.

A number of further call-ups by way of La Liga will of course be forthcoming on Friday, too, upon Luis de la Fuente unveiling his latest Spain squad.
