The Spanish champions rested Robert Lewandowski after his late brace in their late comeback over Celta Vigo last weekend.

But they had to do it the hard way again as a rare error by Marc-André ter Stegen allowed the hosts to open the scoring through Verdat Muriqi.

Raphinha delivered belated a response for the Blaugrana courtesy of a sweeping strike from the edge of the penalty area shortly before the interval.

Their hosts retook the lead deep into first-half added time when Abdón Prats slipped the ball past Ter Stegen from Muriqi helping on Predrag Rajković’s long ball.

Xavi’s side kept the pressure on Mallorca with João Félix crashing an effort against the woodwork before Fermín López swept home an equaliser in the final 15 minutes.

The hard-fought point keeps Barça at LaLiga’s summit temporarily ahead of Girona and Real Madrid’s respective fixtures on Wednesday.
