Barcelona Femeni are on the hunt for their third successive UEFA Women’s Champions League trophy tonight.

The Catalan outfit are facing off against Arsenal in the finals of the competition at Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal.

Naturally, Barcelona president Joan Laporta is in attendance at the stadium to support the Femeni team as they seek to complete a hat-trick of European trophies.

During the clash in Lisbon, though, one moment caught the eye of the fans in particular as Laporta was spotted sharing the stands with UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin as well as former Barcelona and Real Madrid footballer Luis Figo.

It is no secret that the relations between Barça and UEFA have been affected since the Super League project with Ceferin being a vocal advocate against the rogue league.

Meanwhile, Figo is pretty much a persona non-grata as far as Barcelona fans are concerned, having left the club to join arch-rivals Real Madrid two decades ago.

It must be remembered that Figo, currently a UEFA ambassador, was involved in a minor altercation with a section of Barça supporters in Portugal earlier this week.

So, it was certainly intriguing to see Laporta standing in close quarters with the former Portugal international as well as Ceferin.

It must, however, be noted that Laporta was seen sharing a stand with Ceferin and Figo in close quarters in the last year’s UWCL final as well which Barcelona went on to win.

As far as the game is concerned, at half-time the scoreline reads 0-0 with Alexia Putellas, Aitanoa Bonmati & co. yet to break the deadlock.
