Barça prepared to advance Nico talks

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has recently issued an update on Barcelona’s pursuit of Nicoo Williams this summer.

The Italian journalist suggests Barça are ready to advance negotiations for the services of the Athletic Club winger, who is now regarded as one of the hottest attacking talents in Europe.

Barcelona have had their fair share of struggles when it comes to provisioning a transfer for Nico. But more than his transfer figure, Romano claims the player’s salary could be a major hurdle for the Catalans.

That is perhaps because of Barcelona’s inflated wage bill that has restricted them from actively participating in the market.

Premier League clubs on the chase

Barcelona must proceed with caution with respect to Nico Williams, but the club must also act swiftly if they are to secure the services of the Spaniard.

That is because the Catalans are set to face stiff competition from Premier League giants in the race to sign Nico this summer.

Another focus, as mentioned earlier, will be on the salary structure. In fact, the club may have to sanction the exit of an attacker in order to afford Nico.

Keeping that in mind, the coming few weeks could be important for Barça as they look to secure the services of the Spanish sensation.
