Barcelona are set to kickstart their pre-season tour to Asia this midweek, with the club set for a gruelling schedule in Japan and South Korea.
Before the Catalans fly to Asia, coach Hansi Flick faces a difficult decision of selecting only 26 players for the trip.
This means Flick will have to omit several players and only take the ones he is sure will play a key role in the team next season.
As reported by MARCA, there are a number of players who are running the risk of missing out on the Barcelona team sheet for the upcoming trip to Asia.
The first confirmed absentee is captain Marc-Andre ter Stegen, who is still recovering from back issues and weighing up whether to undergo another surgery.

Oriol Romeu and Pau Victor are also likely to be left behind, as they are not in Flick’s long-term plans.
The club are working to find a solution for both players, possibly a loan or permanent exit, with Pau Victor recently being courted by Valencia.
Andreas Christensen’s situation is also uncertain. While the Dane wants to see out his final year, the club might look to move him on this summer, putting his name on the potential cut list.
Youth players such as Guille Fernandez, Dani Rodriguez, and Toni Fernandez are unlikely to all make the trip either, despite some showing promise in pre-season training.
Goalkeeper Inaki Pena, who is looking for a new team, was tipped to be excluded, but now appears likely to travel.
It will be interesting to see if Flick opts for someone surprising omission, who is perhaps not included on this list.
