An insight into the asking price laid out by the powers that be at La Liga giants Barcelona for winger Raphinha ahead of the summer has on Monday been provided.

The info comes courtesy of Mundo Deportivo, and reiterates that the Brazilian will not be allowed to depart on the cheap.

Raphinha, of course, has been tipped for a potential Barcelona exit throughout the season to date.

As much comes chiefly owing to the Blaugrana’s financial issues, rather than any major on-pitch shortcomings on the part of the former Leeds United man himself.

Raphinha, for his part, has racked up a none-too-shabby nine goals and 12 assists across all competitions this season.

Such production, in turn, continues to turn heads across not only Europe – Premier League outfit Tottenham remain keen – but amidst the riches of the Saudi Pro League, too.

Any club with real intentions of striking a deal for Raphinha this summer, though, will need to pay up.

This comes amid confirmation on the part of the aforementioned MD that the starting point for negotiations for the 27-year-old has been set at €55 million.
