Barcelona issued a statement on Thursday confirming that the club lost €481 million across the 2020/21 season.
The Catalan club announced a budget of €765 million for the 2021/22 campaign. The budget will have to be approved at the general assembly of members on the weekend of October 16/17.
The board’s statement did not mention anything about the current financial state of the club or the future of underfire head coach Ronald Koeman.
According to AS, several board members at the club have asked club president Joan Laporta to sack the Dutch coach.
