Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’ agent Alejandro Camano has opened up about the possibility of the Argentine striker leaving for Barcelona, in an interview published this evening.

Speaking in an interview with Catalan news outlet Sport, Camano explained that he is still awaiting discussions about Inter regarding the player’s future, but did not make any clear predictions about where the striker would end up at the start of next season.

“We are calm, we first must understand the situation at Inter,” he stressed.

Camano continued when asked about the links to Barcelona that “it is clear that [Martinez] would like that, who would not like to play for Barcelona?”

“But no one has called me yet. I have an excellent relationship with [Barcelona sporting director Mateu] Alemany, but there is nothing that we are planning yet.”

Camano continued, on the subject of Martinez’s previous links to the Catalan club, and made clear that the striker remains committed to the Inter project:

“I don’t know what happened last year with Lauti, he told me that his former agent talked to him but it was all a bit confused.

“Our job is to understand the situation of the Inter project and then listen to offers as they come in. Now we’re fine as we are, then we will see.”

Camano went on to comment on the reported price tag of €90 million the Nerazzurri have set on Lautaro stating that: “That seems exaggerated.

“Everything has a price, even if Inter do not want to consider the sale.”

On the subject of Inter’s financial situation he noted that “we will see the situation at Inter during the transfer market.”

Camano also suggested that his client did not wish to accept a renewal offer from Inter in the short term, stating that: “They [Inter] offered it but we answered that at the moment we are fine with things as they are,” in relation to the striker’s contract situation.
