The powers that be at Barcelona have been made aware of the kind of sum which would be required to coax La Liga rivals Valencia into the sale of Javi Guerra.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Monday provided the latest on the situation.
Guerra, for his part, is understood to have been in the sights of the Blaugrana brass for some time now, with his growing prominence in the midfield ranks at Mestalla this season having only furthered interest.
The 21-year-old’s ability to line out in a variety of positions in the middle of the park makes him a valuable asset, with Barcelona sporting director Deco, as a result, having already touched base with Valencia regarding the possibility of a summer deal.
And, this week, the Barca board have been made aware of the fee which they will need to part with, if they intend to move ahead with as much.
As per the aforementioned Sport, Valencia would be willing to listen to offers for Guerra in the region of €20 million.
This marks an altogether more affordable figure than would be required for some of the Catalans’ more high-profile midfield targets.
Though not Barcelona’s first-choice, Guerra, as a result, will nevertheless be kept under careful consideration as a potential reinforcement to incoming manager Hansi Flick’s squad.
