Barcelona have had fresh talks with Dani Olmo’s camp and as reported by Fabrizio Romano, they are preparing to send a new proposal to RB Leipzig. This proposal is being discussed internally by those at the Catalan club and there is growing optimism that this offer will be accepted by the Bundesliga side.

Barca are still waiting to hear back from their top target Nico Williams, but are continuing to advance with their negotiations for Olmo. It remains to be seen if both deals can be completed or if Olmo will be signed only if a deal for Williams fails to materialise.

The Athletic Club winger is the club’s priority, however it is unclear if the 22-year-old is willing to join. At the moment, it seems like Olmo is considered the backup option, but the club are progressing in talks as they know there is plenty of interest in the player.

Olmo, 26, has been subject of interest from Premier League giants Manchester City. Barca have already seen one bid worth up to €60m rebuffed.

The Spanish side have flown out to the United States for their pre-season tour, but sporting director Deco has stayed in Spain in order to finalise transfers ahead of the start of the new La Liga campaign.
