Barcelona could replace one Dutch goalkeeper with another if Jasper Cillessen decides to leave the club.

Cillessen has been Barça’s back-up to Marc-André ter Stegen since joining from Ajax in 2016 but having made just two LaLiga appearances in two years, the 29-year-old is reportedly open to the idea of seeking regular playing time elsewhere.

And according to Mundo Deportivo, the Dutchman could be replaced at Camp Nou by fellow countryman Jeroen Zoet.

Zoet has kept 79 clean sheets in 203 appearances for PSV Eindhoven and also been capped 11 times by the Dutch national team.

On Thursday, the 27-year-old was an unused substitute as the Netherlands won 2-0 against Peru, with Cillessen instead the preferred choice of Oranje boss Ronald Koeman.

But Zoet is highly rated in his homeland and would represent a very solid back-up goalkeeper were he to end up at Barcelona. He stands at 1.89m tall and is renowned for being good with the ball at his feet.

The LaLiga champions have reportedly been keeping tabs on Zoet since last season, and he was also considered by Pep Guardiola as a replacement for Joe Hart in the summer of 2016.
