In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Barcelona have set their sights on Tottenham Hotspur full-back Pedro Porro. It is understood that the Catalan club could face competition in the form of Bayern Munich and Manchester City in the race to land the Spanish talent this summer.
Porro is having a decent campaign at Tottenham as he has managed to put in a run of impressive displays for them on the right flank. The Spanish sensation has featured in 49 matches for Spurs this season, scoring four times and securing nine assists in all competitions.
The 25-year-old has been a good performer at both ends of the field and deserves credit for averaging 2.0 tackles, 1.1 interceptions, 2.3 clearances, 1.2 shots and 1.8 key passes per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even distributed the ball relatively well after completing 76.5% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the North London club will expire in the summer of 2028 which would make it tough for Barcelona to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Porro loves a tackle and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when needed and has also got the vision to create a few inviting chances for his teammates from the right flank.
The Spanish talent can strike the ball with venom from long range but needs to work on making more overlapping runs out in the wide areas. He is primarily a right-back but can also function as a right-winger if told to do so.
We can expect Porro to bring more quality to Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick’s defence. He has what it takes to nail down a regular starting spot at the Nou Camp next season.
At 25, Porro’s best years are ahead of him which makes him a decent choice for the Catalan club to consider in this summer transfer window. He already knows La Liga well from his spell at Girona and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Barcelona.
