In a recent interview with RAC1 (via Barca Blaugranes), agent Andre Cury urged Barcelona to land his client and Palmeiras wide player Estevao Willian. Cury said,

“In my opinion, Barcelona should consider signing Messinho because he will give a lot of joy to Barca alongside Vitor Roque. I bet a lot on Messinho because he is the new Neymar,”

Estevao’s Impressive Rise In Brazilian Football

Estevao has enjoyed a meteoric rise at the Brazilian club after managing to break out as a first-team starter for them recently. The 16-year-old has found the back of the net on four occasions and picked up three assists in nine matches for Palmeiras this season in all competitions.

The Brazilian sensation has caught the eye with his performances on the right side of Palmeiras’ attack. Estevao is currently one of the most promising young players in Brazilian football, so Barca would do well to snap him up on the cheap in the upcoming transfer period.

Barcelona Urged To Land Estevao: Is He A Star In The Making?

Estevao is a great dribbler with the ball at his feet and can be a hard man to stop when he is running in full swing in the final third. He can strike the ball with venom from long range and can create a few inviting chances for his teammates from the wide areas.

The Brazilian wing wizard is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also fill in as a secondary striker alongside someone or play in the number ten position if asked to do so by his manager. We can expect Estevao to develop into a top talent at the Nou Camp if Barcelona are willing to be patient with his progress in the coming years.

At 16, Estevao is a generational talent, who has the potential to become one of the best players in his position someday. Thus, the Catalan giants would be wise to move in for the Brazilian whizkid when the transfer window commences in the summer.

Barcelona should think about sealing a move for the Brazilian prospect at the end of this campaign.
