After a very successful 2024-25 season, in which they won all the domestic trophies, La Liga, Copa del Rey, and Spanish Super Cup, the FC Barcelona squad is currently away from the club, training either with their national teams or enjoying their holidays.

The Catalans are set to return to training on 13th July, and only a week after that, they can play their first friendly, even before their pre-season tour of Asia starts.

Barcelona have an offer to play a friendly in Morocco

This is clear from a report from Mundo Deportivo, which claims that Barcelona have received a lucrative offer to play a friendly game against one of the top teams in Morocco on July 20th, a few days before they embark on their tour of Japan and South Korea.

Previously, the Blaugrana coaching staff was planning to hold a training match between the first team players and a local side on this date. However, now they will have to consider the possibility of playing in Morocco.

This trip to Casablanca would be only a one-day affair, as the team will travel to the African city and return on the same day, while pocketing a significant sum in the process.

Barcelona yet to make a decision

However, this friendly is still not finalized, and Barcelona are clear that the most important aspect to consider is the team’s pre-season preparation. Thus, it would be Hansi Flick who will make the final decision about this friendly. If the German believes this is not in the best interest of the team, the club would not consider this offer.

Whether the team plays this friendly in Casablanca or not, the players will enjoy the next day, 21st July, off. On the 22nd, they will have a double training session, and on the 23rd, they will depart for Japan.

They will arrive in the Asian country on the 24th and begin training on the same day, and their first friendly against Vissel Kobe is scheduled for 27th July.

After that, they will play two more friendlies in South Korea, on 31st July and 4th August, and then fly directly back to Barcelona after this second game.
