A fresh insight into the dismay currently being experienced by Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen has this weekend been provided.

This comes amid confirmation that the German is going through the emotional wringer at present.

Goalkeeper Ter Stegen has of course seen his name dominate the headlines in Catalunya’s capital for several weeks now.

This comes after the 33-year-old, all of a sudden, found himself surplus to requirements.

Following the signing of Joan García, and with Wojciech Szczęsny expected to stay put, Ter Stegen is no longer considered as essential in Hansi Flick’s squad.

So much so that those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou are actively pushing him towards the exit.

And safe to say, the significance of as much has not been at all lost on a player who has spent the last decade and more plying his trade in Blaugrana colours.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Ter Stegen’s anger with the club is huge. And especially with the sports management of the entity. He considers himself betrayed because he was never told the plans that Barça already had in place and, above all, he has been hurt by what he considers interested leaks from within the entity to undermine his professionalism.’

Despite as much, though, the shot-stopper, as things stand, remains adamant that he will be going nowhere this summer.
