Today’s session marked a particularly significant milestone for the 20-year-old, who completed a full 40-minute practice match (forming a midfield partnership with Frenkie de Jong) at an impressive intensity.

Gavi is in good shape and maintaining a strong training rhythm with his teammates. However, club officials have to hold him back because he wants to return immediately, the report states.

Barcelona’s No. 6 has set his sights on the match against Sevilla after the international break, but the final decision will rest with the technical staff in consultation with the medical team.

Gavi’s imminent return represents excellent news for Barcelona, for both his leadership and footballing qualities, especially with the club currently facing a crowded injury list following Ferran Torres’ recent setback.

Flick has seven other players sidelined – Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Andreas Christensen, Ronald Araujo, Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, and Marc Bernal, who is suffering from the same injury as Gavi.
