Sections of Barcelona supporters made use of the opportunity to send a message to club president Joan Laporta, during a public appearance on Wednesday.
As much surrounded the club’s endeavours on the transfer front, specifically their pursuit of Athletic Club star Nico Williams.
The name of wide-man Williams has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital once more over the course of the last 48 hours.
This comes as claims continue to mount that the 22-year-old has come to the decision to rebuff the long-running advances of Barcelona, in favour of staying put in Bilbao.
Deco and the Camp Nou board have in turn already begun to turn their attentions towards alternative targets, RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo chief among them.
As alluded to above, however, some members of the Barcelona fanbase, evidently, are not yet ready to give up on their dreams of seeing Nico line out in the club’s colours.
After spotting club president Joan Laporta emerging from the stadium in the aftermath of the Blaugrana’s friendly meeting with Manchester City on Wednesday, the fans in question, in turn, made their feelings known.
As much came by way of loud chants of ‘Nico Williams! Nico Williams!’
