Earlier in the month, it was reported that Barcelona won’t have to bother registering Dani Olmo and Pau Victor again for next season.
That is because the court ruling that ruled in favour of Barcelona remains in force, and it, therefore, legalises the two players’ registration in the first team.
Similarly, Barcelona won’t have to worry about the registration of another key player in the team in Gavi.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Gavi will remain registered with Barcelona’s first team thanks to the precautionary ruling issued by the National Court on June 6, 2023.
The report clarifies that the decision still holds legal ground more than two years later.
The original dispute dates back to January 2023, when LaLiga denied Gavi’s registration as a senior team player due to the club not meeting financial fair play standards.

Barcelona secured a temporary court order to register him, but their appeal was later dismissed for being filed outside the deadline.
As a result, Gavi was briefly returned to youth team status before Barcelona escalated the case to the National Court, which sided with the club and reinstated his first-team role.
Although the legal battle is not officially over, the case between La Liga and Barcelona remains without a set court date.
Until then, Gavi’s current registration is protected under the standing court order, which means Barcelona do not need to create salary space or re-register him under financial fair play conditions.
This should serve as a massive boost for Barcelona, who are already working around the clock, trying to ensure the registrations of their potential new signings this summer.
