Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati has asked for more time to make a decision on whether he will undergo yet more surgery.

The La Masia graduate picked up an injury in his left leg against Athletic Club, with it being specifically in his biceps femoris tendon, leaving him with a decision to make.

A summit meeting was held between Fati's father and his agent, Jorge Mendes, on Monday in which the benefits of all options were explored, reports Marca.

Surgery is seen as the conservative option as it most likely to rectify the problem, but that will require time away from the pitch, and the player himself has doubts over this, not wanting to miss any more football in a World Cup year.

Barcelona want the player to undergo surgery, and the club doctors explained the benefits and cons of that choice to Fati on Monday, although it may force him to miss three months.
