In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Barcelona are eyeing a move for Stuttgart playmaker Raul Paula. It has been mentioned that the Catalan club are showing interest in recruiting the German attacker in the summer.

Paula’s Recent Rise In German Football

Paula has put in a series of impressive performances for Stuttgart II this season but is still waiting to make his first senior appearance for the German club. The 20-year-old has participated in 21 matches during this campaign, finding the back of the net 13 times and securing five assists in the process across all fronts.

The German talent has caught the eye at times with his performances for Stuttgart II. However, he is still unproven at the highest level and would need time to prove himself before he can taste first-team football.

His current contract at the German club will run out in the summer of 2026. Hence, it won’t be easy for Barcelona to arrange a cut-price move for him at the end of this campaign.

Barcelona Are Eyeing A Move For Paula: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Paula has a knack for scoring some important goals for his team in the final third. He can also create the odd chance for his teammates up top and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet. The German sensation mainly functions as an attacking midfielder but can also serve as a left-sided wide player or as a box-to-box midfielder if told to do so.

Paula has the potential to become a future starter at the Nou Camp if Barcelona boss Xavi is willing to be patient with his development. His skill set fits Barca’s playing style well, so the Catalan club should focus on going all out to recruit him in the summer transfer window.

However, Paula is far from a finished product and would need time to prove his worth in Spanish football if Xavi can find a way to get a deal done for him later this year. At 20, there is no denying that the German whizkid is a prospect to watch out for in the future. With all things considered, it is only logical for Barcelona to sign him if they want to bolster their attack for the long-term.
