Barcelona are preparing for another major change within their youth ranks as Arnau Pradas, one of the most promising talents at Barça Atletic, has decided to leave the club at the end of his contract on June 30.

According to a report from SPORT, the young winger has chosen to begin a new chapter in his career after more than a decade wearing the Blaugrana colours.

Following the team’s unfortunate relegation to the Second RFEF, Barça Atletic are undergoing a period of transition. Several players have already moved on, including Diego Percan, while the future of others remains uncertain.

Some have chosen to renew their deals, but others, like Hugo Alba and now Pradas, are seeking new opportunities away from Barcelona.

A painful but thoughtful decision

The 19-year-old winger, known for having one of the finest left feet in Spanish youth football, had been waiting to receive a renewal offer from Barcelona.

However, as it stands, the club will not extend his contract, and the 191-year-old winger will officially depart when his deal expires at the end of the month.

The young talent is highly regarded for his creativity and technical ability. With five goals and two assists this past season, he played a key role in Barça’s third-place finish in the UEFA Youth League.

His departure will surely be felt within the academy. Interestingly, Pradas has several offers from other clubs and is currently weighing his options.

Leaving the club he has called home for 12 years was not an easy choice, and sources say the decision was made with careful thought and the support of his family.

Though it is a bittersweet exit, Pradas leaves with his head held high, having proudly represented the Barça badge through his formative years. Wherever he goes next, the club and fans will no doubt be watching closely.
