Like all football fans in recent months, Romain Saïss is closely following the 2025 Ballon d'Or race. He has weighed in on the possibility of Achraf Hakimi claiming the coveted award.

In a video published by Qatari club Al Sadd SC, Romain Saïss revealed his "Best eleven of players played with" over the course of his career. Among the Moroccan and international stars making up this dream team, one statement stood out: his resounding support for Achraf Hakimi in the Ballon d'Or 2025 conversation.

Without hesitation, Saïss named the PSG full-back as his undisputed choice for right-back. Even more, he declared emphatically:

"Achraf Hakimi has a great chance, Insha’Allah, to win the Ballon d'Or this season."

Saïss highlighted the versatility of his compatriot from Paris Saint-Germain, who shines both defensively and offensively. According to him, the Moroccan boasts a rare profile that is increasingly recognized in Ballon d'Or discussions. Achraf Hakimi delivered an outstanding 2024/2025 season with PSG, who clinched the French Ligue 1 title, the UEFA Champions League, and the Coupe de France. Not to mention, the 26-year-old defender and the Parisian club also reached the final of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
