Aston Villa entertained Nottingham Forest at Villa Park earlier today as they hoped to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the fourth-minute when Ollie Watkins found the back of the net. Douglas Luiz doubled his team’s advantage in the 29th minute before going on to score again just ten minutes later. Moussa Niakhate got a goal back for the visitors in injury-time as Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 3-1 up on the scoreline.

Morgan Gibbs-White made the contest interesting when he scored in the 48th minute but Leon Bailey killed the game when he got his name on the scoresheet in the 61st minute. The contest ended with the Villans securing an impressive 4-2 win in front of their home supporters.
