Aston Villa entertained Brentford at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in front of their home fans. The Villans made a dream start to the game and took the lead in the second minute courtesy of Leon Bailey’s unstoppable strike. Danny Ings doubled Aston Villa’s lead with a clinical finish just five minutes later. Ings made it 3-0 to the Villans from the penalty spot in the 14th minute. Aston Villa went into the half-time break 3-0 up on the scoreline.
Ollie Watkins added another goal in the 59th minute as the contest ended with the West Midlands outfit earning a dominant 4-0 win at home.

The Argentine keeper made a few solid saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet in front of the Aston Villa supporters.

Young didn’t do much wrong on the defensive third of the field and had two lively moments in the opponent’s half.

He anchored the midfield really well and caused a few problems for the opposition defenders.
CM: Douglas Luiz – 8/10
The Brazilian earned the ball back twice and created some good chances in the final third. He has got an assist to his name as well.
RW: Ollie Watkins – 7.5/10
He caused a lot of problems for the Brentford defenders and scored a good goal near the hour mark.
CAM: Emiliano Buendia – 7.5/10
Buendia was not shy of having a strike at goal and orchestrated a couple of meaningful openings on the attacking end of the field.
LW: Leon Bailey – 8.5/10
He gave Aston Villa the lead with an unstoppable strike. Bailey has got an assist to show for his efforts as well.
ST: Danny Ings – 8.5/10
Ings was a constant menace in front of the Brentford goal and deserves credit for scoring a brace in the first quarter of the game.
