According to L’Équipe, Han-Noah Massengo (21), a midfielder who left AS Monaco in 2019 for Bristol City in the Championship, is set to return to France. He will be loaned to Auxerre until the end of the season. Massengo, whose contract with Bristol City runs until 2023, will be a free agent in June and will try to help Auxerre maintain their position in the league. The Ligue 1 club will cover the French player’s salary.
The former France U19 international has made 10 appearances in the EFL Championship this season, after appearing more regularly in previous seasons for the Robins. He has made a total of 110 appearances in midfield for the English side, and has registered three assists.
He previously played academy football at AS Monaco, where he made 23 appearances for their U21 side and registered two assists. He is a flexible player who can play in multiple positions in midfield, playing 61 games in a more central positions with 38 appearances in a holding role.
