Atletico Madrid striker Luis Suarez is backing Antoine Griezmann to find his best form at Barcelona.

Suarez has insisted he and Griezmann were friendly during their season together.

He told France Football: "If Antoine Griezmann is finally in the process of successfully integrating into Barça?

"It is not easy to arrive at Barça and maintain the same level of performance. He knows where he landed. He knows how influential he can be in the team if he's confident. I think in the last few games he has shown that he feels more confident with the coach and his teammates.

"This allows him to help the team and to be more and more important, which was his goal."
