AC Milan are expected to face Arsenal as part of a trip to Dubai that will take place during the break for the Qatar World Cup, a report claims.

According to a report from The Athletic, Arsenal and Milan are looking to try and fill the gap that will arise when competitive action stops for the World Cup given that it will not resume again for a few weeks.

After they play Wolves this weekend, the members of Mikel Arteta’s squad that are not heading to the World Cup should have 10 days off and will then return to training in London, before travelling to Dubai on December 4 for a warm-weather camp.

Two friendlies are likely to be staged: against Lyon on December 8 and Milan five days later. The round-robin format should also feature Liverpool, but the English teams are not expected to meet.

An announcement is expected soon regarding the format, full dates, venues and ticket information.
