Athenea has been voted Mahou Five Star Player for September. The forward was presented with the award at Real Madrid City recognising her performances during the first month of the competition, during which she started every game. Athenea played the entire European tie against Manchester City and was the focal point of Madrid's attack in the first four LaLiga matches. The Cantabrian player was pleased to receive the award: "I'm very grateful to the fans who have voted for me to win this award. I'm also very grateful for the support they give us on a daily basis and in every game".
