Atalanta are still in the market, looking for a replacement for Remo Freuler, who has joined Nottingham Forest this summer. Fabian Rieder appears to have attracted the attention of La Dea.

According to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Atalanta have made contact with Young Boys for Fabian Rieder. The Bergamo side believes that they have found a suitable candidate to replace the services of Remo Freuler.

Rieder, 20, is a Switzerland U21 international. Emerging through the ranks of Young Boys, Rieder, a central midfielder by trade, has already made 82 senior appearances for the Swiss club, racking up seven goals and 15 assists across all competitions for the senior side.

Pedulla’s report also suggests that several Bundesliga clubs, including Bayern Munich, have been keeping tabs on the youngster for some time now.

However, the player has a contract at his current club until June 2025. He has also insisted that he would like to stay in Switzerland until the end of the season. While Atalanta are trying, the report claims that it would take at least €10 million to lure the 20-year-old midfielder away from his current side.
