Serie A side Atalanta are interested in Birmingham City’s Jordan James and have come forward with an offer for the player.

TMW have reported about the situation of James, with Fabrizio Romano verifying that La Dea have put forward an offer for the Welshman. The offer stands at €4.5 million plus bonuses and the expectation is that the deal is close and it will go through soon enough.

The deal is advancing quickly and will soon reach the final stages and Atalanta decided to act quickly on the move, with James also on the shortlist of Bologna. La Dea see the 19-year-old as the next Marten de Roon.

James has made 24 appearances in the Championship this season, scoring five goals and while he operates in central midfield, he also operates deeper in the midfield. He has also played eight times for the Welsh national team, having come through the Birmingham City youth academy and he has played for the club’s first team for about three years now.
