Atalanta defender José Palomino has been banned after failing a doping test ahead of the new Serie A season.
The National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO) confirmed the 32-year-old’s suspension as a request from the institution’s prosecution office after the player tested positive for the Clostebol Metabolite substance following a surprise test.

It has yet to be confirmed for how long Palomino will be banned for.
The Argentine has made over 200 appearances for the club since joining from Ludogorets in 2017.
