Girona lose highly-regarded youngster to Atalanta | OneFootball

La Liga outfit Girona have this week seen an up-and-coming member of the club’s attacking ranks bring a close to his time with the club.

The player in question? Daniel Curcio.

Curcio, for his part, is a 17-year-old attacker, who chiefly lines out in a centre-forward role.

The youngster linked up with Girona in the summer of 2024, after making the call not to renew his contract with Serie A giants Inter Milan.

As alluded to above, however, just a year on, Curcio is on the move once more…

Upon taking his talents to Catalunya 12 months ago, the Spanish youth international made the call to commit to only a one-year deal.

And as much has this week cost Girona dear.

As per a report from transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano on Saturday:

‘Italian striker Daniel Curcio has left Girona and signs in as new Atalanta player on Tuesday.’
