Atalanta are thought to be in discussions with the representatives of RC Lens defender Kevin Danso over a possible move to Serie A this summer, but they face stiff competition from Premier League sides West Ham and Wolves, according to reports in France.
The 25-year-old centre-back is reportedly valued in the region of €25m by his current Ligue 1 employers, according to French outlet Footmercato.
Danso had been subject of serious interest from 2022-23 Serie A champions Napoli last summer, but the Austria international eventually decided to extend his contract with Lens, which the club used as an opportunity to launch a series of digs at the Partenopei.
12 months later, though, the player could now finally be on the move, as Atalanta have now begun talks with his entourage.
West Ham and Wolves are the two rival clubs that have also been linked with a move.
Though he was born in Austria and represents the national team at senior level, Danso spent around a decade of his childhood growing up in the UK, and has represented both Reading and MK Dons at youth level.
