Aston Villa have recently confirmed on their official website that Leon Bailey has penned a new contract to extend his stay at Villa Park. It is understood that the Jamaican wide player has put pen to pen to paper on a new deal with the West Midlands club.
Bailey has enjoyed a great campaign at Villa Park as he has managed to put in a string of fruitful displays for the Villans from the wide areas. The Jamaican sensation has been involved in 33 matches for Aston Villa this season, scoring ten goals and grabbing nine assists in various competitions.
The 26-year-old has been a decent contributor in the final third based on his average of 1.5 shots, 1.4 key passes and 1.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has even been careful when linking up play with others around him in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 79.1% in the English first division (stats via whoscored).
Bailey has been one of the best performers in Unai Emery’s squad this season. Thus, it is only fair for Aston Villa to tie him down to a new, long-term contract.

Bailey has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out on the flanks. He is a decent dribbler with the ball and usually generates a lot of venom with his shots from long range. He has also got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances on the offensive end of the field.
Bailey is proficient at playing on either wing and has proven himself to be a consistent performer in Premier League football. He is playing some of his best football at Villa Park right now, so it is no surprise that the Villans have decided to extend his contract to keep hold of him for the long run.
Bailey has what it takes to help Aston Villathe West Midlands club to extend their time together in search of more success in the future.
