Feyenoord’s Lutsharel Geertruida has caught the eye of several top European clubs as a possible summer signing. Earlier this summer, there were whispers about a move to Paris Saint-Germain, and now that rumor seems to be gaining momentum again.

In June, Florian Plettenberg from Sky Sport Germany mentioned that Geertruida was more likely to join PSG than any teams from the Premier League or Bundesliga. PSG had some serious discussions with Geertruida’s representatives, with a fee of around €25 million being discussed. However, July passed without any deal being wrapped up.

Recently, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Aston Villa has now joined the chase, aiming to strengthen their defense by targeting Geertruida for the upcoming season.

Nonetheless, Foot Mercato’s Sébastien Denis reports that PSG are currently taking a wait-and-see approach with the Geertruida situation.

Last season, Geertruida scored eight goals and recorded five assists in the Eredivisie. It will be interesting to see if the Parisians make a last-minute swoop for the player or if he moves to the Premier League.
