Aston Villa are wrapping up the signing of Sheffield United goalkeeper Robin Olsen.
Villa expect to complete the loan signing of Roma keeper Olsen following a medical on Tuesday, says the Daily Mail.
The Sweden international will cut short his loan at Sheffield United who are discussing a deal for Frank Fielding from Stoke City.
Olsen, previously of Everton, would not be seen as a direct replacement for Emiliano Martinez although will be expected to provide reasonable competition for the the Villa No 1.
Although the move will see him command fewer first team chances than at Bramall Lane, he is seen as an important part of Villa's rebuild under manager Steven Gerrard.
Olsen's credentials as a Sweden international with experience is also likely to see him as a significant upgrade to current reserve Villa keepers Jed Steer and Viljami Sinisalo.
