The 23-year-old Swiss international attacker initially arrived in England in summer 2018 when she joined West Ham United from BSC Young Boys. Lehmann made more than 50 appearances in all competitions for The Hammers while she was a Vitality Women’s FA Cup runner-up with the club in 2018/2019, West Ham United being defeated by Manchester City in the final.
Following a loan spell at Everton, Lehmann joined Aston Villa on a permanent deal last summer. The forward scored two goals in 21 appearances for Carla Ward’s side in the Barclays Women’s Super League last term as the club improved on their 11th-place finish from 2020/2021.
The Aston Villa squad remain short on quality attacking options but news of Lehmann’s new deal has handed the club a boost ahead of the upcoming season.
After signing on again at The Banks’s Stadium, Lehmann said “I love this club and I’m so happy to be staying.
“We have high expectations going into this season and I can’t wait to get started.”
Lehmann joins teammate Ruesha Littlejohn in signing new terms with Aston Villa during the close season.
