Aston Villa are close to securing the return of Marco Asensio, with talks advancing rapidly with Paris Saint-Germain ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

According to L’Equipe, Villa tabled a €15 million offer for the Spanish international. However, PSG are still holding out for €20m.

Villa are keen on re-signing Asensio following an impressive loan spell last season, when he bagged eight goals and one assist across 21 appearances.
