Aston Villa ace Boubacar Kamara has signed a new five-year contract, ending speculation about his future at the club, according to journalist Jacob Tanswell.
The Frenchman has been a key player for the Villains since joining the club on a free transfer in the 2022 summer transfer window.
He has made 97 appearances for the club, bagging two goals and two assists.
Keeping Kamara is a massive boost for Villa as he brings stability in midfield, providing a shield for the backline. His ability to recycle possession effectively is also underrated.
He will likely receive an upgrade on his current £150,000-per-week deal.
Meanwhile, Villa have submitted a bid to sign highly-rated centre-back Jaydee Canvot from Toulouse.
The offer has not yet been accepted, but negotiations remain ongoing, with several other clubs also monitoring the situation.
The 19-year-old broke into the Toulouse first team during the second half of last season, making his senior debut in January against Lens.
Canvot will be the third teenage centre-back Villa sign this summer if they eventually get a deal over the line.
Villa have already recruited Yasin Ozcan from Kasimpasa and Modou Keba Cisse from LASK on a pre-contract agreement.
The Midlands club are also fighting to ward off Manchester United this summer.
The Premier League giants want a striker and have been tracking Ollie Watkins, but the Villains do not want to sell the England international.
Villa have also rebuffed an approach from Man Utd for Emiliano Martinez. The Villains are open to selling the goalkeeper but want enough compensation to let him leave.
