Chelsea fans can really saviour and enjoy this moment right now, because it is a rare feeling of winning a game of football against a good opposition, or at least a feeling that is rare of late.

Last season was terrible, and this season pretty much started in the same way for Blues fans at least in terms of the results on the pitch. In the league they are only on five points from six matches, but last night they advanced to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup beating tough Premier League opposition.

And it felt good, with not many Chelsea fans expecting their team to win last night against a very good Brighton side managed by a very good manager.

Chelsea were poor in the first half but they played well in the second half, led by the creativity of Cole Palmer playing in the ten role.

Palmer assisted Nicolas Jackson beautiful for the only goal of the game, and he’s been speaking about it on the Chelsea website.

He said: “I’m really pleased to have played a part tonight and scoring and assisting is what I like to do.

“I received the ball on the edge of the box and I just waited that split second, which gave me the space to find Nico.

“Full credit to him, it was a great finish and he deserved that. He had a couple of chances before his goal that he didn’t take but he didn’t shy away and on another night he could have scored more than just the one. I’m really pleased for Nico.”
