It is the best possible time to be a Real Madrid fan. With their win over Borussia Dortmund at Wembley last night, Los Blancos clinched a historic 15th UEFA Champions League title, and Fabrizio Romano now brings news that will send the city of Madrid into a whole new level of celebration.

In what comes as a breaking update, the ever-reliable Italian journalist has given his trademark ‘here we go’ to Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid, all but confirming that the transfer is a done deal.

Papers signed

The young French phenom has been linked with a move to Madrid for several years now, but a combination of factors complicated Mbappe’s dream move year after year. This summer, largely, was considered to be his final chance to sign for the Merengues.

The PSG star communicated his desire to leave the French club well before the end of the season and refused to pen an extension beyond this summer. He had, reportedly, made his decision to join Real Madrid as early as February.

It is now confirmed that all the paperwork for the mega transfer has been completed, approved and signed.

The official annou1ncement of Mbappe’s arrival could be made as early as the coming week and the World Cup winner can now be considered a Real Madrid player for all practical purposes.

A dream team

It is almost criminal that the Champions League-winning Real Madrid are adding Kylian Mbappe to their arsenal as the crown jewel of an already star-studded squad.

With Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo Goes, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde and Eder Militao already set to headline a special generation, Mbappe’s arrival elevates the team to an unimaginable level.
