Several Ligue 2 clubs as well as Belgian outfit Charleroi SC are interested in signing AS Nancy Lorraine’s Franco-Senegalese striker Cheikh Touré (27), reports Sports Zone.
The striker has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season with Nancy, who currently sit 5th in the Championnat National, the third tier of French football. After having spent time in the reserve teams of clubs such as Stade Rennais and Dijon FCO, he signed for Les Chardons from the new defunct AS Poissy, a club from the Parisian suburbs that was dissolved due to debt.
The striker’s market is estimated at 200,000€, but ,given his goalscoring form this season, it is expected that the eastern France club will be able to command significantly more, although it is suggested they would like to keep the player for another season, especially if they are successful in achieving promotion to Ligue 2 at the end of the season themselves.
