Abu Francis is out for the second matchday of Ligue 1 this weekend. The Ghanaian midfielder has been officially ruled out of the clash against Stade Brestois, scheduled for Sunday, August 24, 2025, as part of the second round of Ligue 1.

Having joined TFC from Cercle Brugge this summer, Abu Francis will not feature for Toulouse in this second round of France’s top flight. The midfielder is currently recovering from a calf injury and is not yet ready to return to full team training. The medical staff has decided not to take any risks, leaving him out of the squad for this fixture.

This absence is a real blow for Les Violets, as the 24-year-old was highly anticipated. His work rate in midfield, ability to break forward, and technical precision were already making him a key link in Toulouse’s attacking play. TFC is hoping for a swift return for Abu Francis, but no timeline has been announced yet. The Ghana international continues his treatment for now.
