Paul Pogba and Ansu Fati landed at AS Monaco this summer, both aiming for a fresh start. Head coach Adi Hütter spoke up in recent hours to provide an update on his squad, addressing the situation with these two stars in particular.

Hütter pulled no punches: Paul Pogba won't be making his return just yet. Asked by L’Equipe about the fitness of his new signings, the Austrian manager was unequivocal. “You can’t compare Ansu and Paul. I think Ansu is a little closer to joining the team,” said Hütter.

“They’re working on their physical condition and balance,” the coach clarified. But he remains cautious: “At Barcelona, Ansu wasn’t able to train the way he needed to. We’re trying to get him back up to speed, but we can’t rush it. We’re being careful. Both of them are hungry for football. They’ll be back on the pitch in the coming weeks.”
