Fabrizio Romano reports that AS Monaco have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.

The Principality has agreed personal terms with the Leverkusen captain and is now in negotiations with die Werkself over a transfer this summer.

Hradecky’s current contract at the BayArena expires next summer, meaning this summer would be the final time that Leverkusen could earn some sort of fee for the 35-year-old.

“I’m definitely thinking about it. That’s no secret. But at the same time, it has to be something very concrete and very interesting for me to consider leaving this club after so many wonderful and successful years.”

Leverkusen were already well prepared, as earlier this summer, they brought in Mark Flekken, who will be the number one this season. However, the departure of Matej Kovar will bring into question die Werkelf’s number two position.

A move away from the 35-year-old is surprising, as it was previously suggested that he could take up a different role at Leverkusen when he did choose to retire. While on top of this, the club have already lost Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Granit Xhaka, who has stated that he wants to leave.
