The North Londoners were 3-1 up against the Danish minnows going into the closing stages of their latest UEFA Women’s Champions League group game but Arsenal continued to seek more goals and Anna Patten and Jordan Nobbs went on to add their names to the scoresheet.
Arsenal have now scored goals in the final 10 minutes in four of their last five matches and head coach Eidevall is pleased to see his side develop that habit.
“Yes, it is very important to keep going, to create habits of doing the right thing,” Eidevall said when speaking in the post-match press conference.
“If you don’t do it all the time (attack until the final whistle) then it is hard to know when we are supposed to do it so for me, that’s not a good way to go, I’m all in.”
Arsenal played in front of a sizeable away following in Køge which was largely made up of their Scandinavian supporters. Eidevall said that it was a proud moment for the club to be playing in front of such a great away crowd.
He said “It’s amazing, it helps so much (having fans) to create atmosphere and to create belief.
“Nights like this, you just feel how much of a privilege it is to represent a club like Arsenal. We all feel so proud of that and it feels like we are doing it together with the fans, that’s always a great feeling.”
Arsenal now turn their attentions to Saturday’s North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur at The Hive.
